The Visual Revolution is changing the way we interact with conferences and events. Attendees with smart phones are sharing more and more photos which in turn can be harnessed to create engaging experiences, not only for organizers and attendees, but also for those following the event remotely. If you’re a conference or event organizer and you’re not tapping into the visual story being told around your event, you’re missing out on a great opportunity.
We recently tracked a number of events from around the globe and LeWeb, Europe’s biggest tech conference showed up big as attendees shared over 2000 photos from the event on Twitter and Instagram. Photos also flowed in from Amazon’s first AWS re: Invent event in Las Vegas, the Lean Startup Conference in San Francisco, and the Triple Play REALTOR Conference and Expo in Atlantic City. These photos told an engaging story; showcasing event highlights, speakers and attendees, highlighting after parties and creative expo installations, and sharing knowledge from presentation slides. We picked some of our favorites for the display below.
