See the 2012 Ryder Cup Through the Lens of Crowdsourced Photos

September 28, 2012 Add Comment Andy Kaufman

The Ryder Cup is unlike any other golf tournament. Founded on prestige rather than prize money, the event is held every other year and pits golfers from the United States against their counterparts from Europe. Due to it’s unique format, the event evokes an energy from both the golfers and their fans not usually seen on the golf course and will provide for some interesting visual content.

We’re using SlideChute to collect, manage, and display the photos as they tell the story of what promises to be a great event in real time. We’ve included a few of our early favorites below, and you can click here to see the entire collection of crowdsourced 2012 Ryder Cup photos.

Chute and the Silicon Valley Startup community has officially gone Gangnam Style. In addition to the TinyMeme, we also took part in the making of the Gangnam Startup Style parody video that Danielle and the folks at Referly organized featuring members of the local San Francisco/Silicon Valley startup community. Check it out!

Our co-founders Ranvir and Gregarious recently sat down for an interview with the Microsoft Bizspark Group Blog and offered some good insight into what drives them and the inner workings here at Chute.

I think what most entrepreneurs have in common is that they derive an immense amount of utility from customers actually using and deriving value from products that they’ve built. There’s no better feeling in our business then when our customers are loving what we do for them.

It’s a great read, and definitely worth checking out.

Here’s a couple of examples: bottle, chair

Go ahead, try it out & add a photo of what that word looks like to you.
